REALTOR members of Suburban West by December 31, 2012. If you have not completed
the requirement, you must complete a make-up course. Once you have successfully
completed the course, your membership will be reactivated. The regsitration cost
for a make-up Responsible Real Estate course is $25.
The explosion of technology and the Internet has precipitated new ways of doing business; brought changes to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics; and raised new concerns about professionalism. The 3.5-hour Responsible Real Estate in an Electronic World class will delve into these topics.
With a focus on social media, students will be presented with interactive exercises and case studies to demonstrate the correlation between print and electronic marketing & promotion. Using a series of pre- recorded meetings, this fast paced program will follow an ethics complaint from review by the Grievance Committee through the Professional Standards hearing and decision. Students will see firsthand how these committees operate to enforce the REALTOR® Code of Ethics while studying the effect of social media and technology on real estate practice.
Attendance satisfies the SWRA continued member training requirement for 2011-2012 and the NAR Code of Ethics training requirement for 2008-2012. Members who have attended New Member Orientation beginning January 1, 2011 have already satisfied both requirements. |
