RPAC Telethon 2009- A Success! 37 REALTORS participated in the 5th Annual RPAC Telethon on June 10, 2009. Domenic Cardone led the team to RPAC victory with assistance from past telethon callers, as well as some new faces. The Association thanks all of the participants in the telethon and all of the members who donated to RPAC.

Spring Market Rally & Making Green with Green Class

Terry Watson was on hand on April 2 & 3 to lift member’s spirits and prepare them for a world that is going green. Members had a great time at the Spring Market Rally at the Valley Forge Military Academy on April 2 and enjoyed Terry’s light-hearted and motivating seminar. Following the seminar, a reception was held where members could network with one another and speak with Terry. The fun and learning continued on April 3 at the Springfield Country Club where members learned about what it means to be “green” and how to improve their lives and their client’s lives by becoming more eco-friendly.

The Installation to honor the 2009 Board of Directors and its new Chairman, Terry Kirkwood was held on Thursday, January 22. The event was held at the Overbrook Golf Club in Bryn Mawr. This beautiful evening featured a reception featuring various hors d'oeuvres, carving stations and a dessert buffet. There were a number of great items available at our silent auction benefiting RPAC.

On Thursday, October 24, 2008 at the General Membership Meeting, eight (8) REALTORS® were recognized for 40 continuous years of membership in the National Association of REALTORS®. On Tuesday, October 7, 2008 members of the Suburban West REALTOR® Association meet to discuss blogging. This session helped REALTORS® become acquainted with the online blogging world, they learned how to use blogs as a real estate marketing tool to help generate business. Tips were provided and advice was given on how to create your first personalized blog to work for you as well as ways to enhance your websites.

On August 27, the Suburban West REALTORS Association hosted an educational and motivational forum for office administrators of our member offices. The program featured information on the Association, Suburban REALTORS Alliance and skills training to build positive relationships so that they can be even a greater resource to their colleagues. It was also a great networking opportunity for office administrators throughout the area. The Association would like to extend its appreciation to the administrators who attended and to note that we look forward to hosting future annual events.

2006 Board of Directors Installed
More than 100 members were present Thursday, January 12 for the installation of the 2006 Board of Directors and its Chairman, Harrison "Bud" Tyson. The event and subsequent reception were conducted at the Waynesborough Country Club in Paoli and featured numerous legislators, including: Congressman James Gerlach; State Representative Robert J. Flick; State Representative Thomas H. Killion; State Representative Stephen E. Barrar and State Representative Thomas P. Gannon. Members and guests enjoyed an array of food options and desserts with entertainment provided by the Janis Nowlan Orchestra.

The association was proud to host this event as part of our ongoing efforts to increase the community awareness of our members.

All proceeds from the event go to support the American Cancer Society. A wonderful day of golf and revelry with fellow members.

Despite the excessive heat, the Association is pleased to report that the 3rd Annual 5K Run For Home was a success. The event featured a record of over 190 participants and volunteers. The organization would like to extend its gratitude to all the members who supported, volunteered, and participated in this rewarding event! Because of sponsors and participants were able to raise $10,000.00 for Habitat for Humanity of Chester County.
