April 9 (Friday) - Tax Assessment Appeals
Property taxes are charged to a homeowner based on the assessed value of the home. Property owners have the right to appeal the assessment should they disagree with it. In this session the panel will present tips on how you can help your client appeal the assessed value and potentially lower the tax burden on their home. The speakers will share experience in Chester County, however, the process is similar in Delaware and Montgomery. The Chester County Realtor Lawyer Forum meets at the
Suburban West REALTORS® Association in Malvern, PA. These luncheon meetings start at noon and end promptly at 1:00 p.m.
To reserve your seat and pay for your lunch ($11) please visit our payment and registration center, log in and go to the events calendar. Choose the CC Realtor Lawyer Forum for date of event and follow the prompts to register and pay for your lunch with a credit card.
Reservations must be made no later than noon on the Tuesday, prior to the event date. No walk-in registration.
If you make a reservation and find you need to cancel, you must do so ONLINE no later than noon on the Tuesday, prior to the event date.
No refunds will be given after noon on the Tuesday, prior to the event date. All attendees must be identified and pre-paid. Substitutions are not permitted.

This session will provide an update on the process of short sales and foreclosures with tips on how you can best help your client through these often protracted and complicated transactions.
- June 3 - Open Forum
At an open forum, participants are encouraged to bring any real estate related legal issue. It often happens that someone else in the attendance can shed light on your topic. These sessions often result in a future forum topic presented in greater detail. This is your chance to be part of the process.
