The GRI is a Designation that is most beneficial to real estate professionals who have less than three years of experience and want a solid base of information for their residential real estate practice. The School has partnered with the Pennsylvania REALTORS® Institute to offer GRI Courses. Students do not have to be GRI candidates to take these courses. Credit towards the GRI Designation is good for five years.

Some courses also provide credit toward other accreditations & designations, and all are marked by the following color codes:

GRI 403: Managing Risk in Real Estate
GRI Designation (required)
A career in real estate is demanding and filled with many risks. The successful agent needs to identify the basic causes of risk, and design strategies for managing and minimizing these risks. This course provides an overview of real estate issues including misrepresentation, anti-trust, fair housing, disclosure, environmental law, agency and buyer representation, contract law and forms, and tools and tips for managing the risk in a real estate practice. This course is one of the five required courses for the GRI Designation.
