Appraisal license renewal must be completed by June 30, 2009. All appraisal licensees must complete a total of 28 hours of continuing education as part of their renewal. 7 hours must be in the required USPAP course and 2 hours in the Pennsylvania Statutes class. The remaining 19 hours may be in approved electives. Both required and elective appraiser courses are being offered by the School.

Mortgage Fraud – A Dangerous Business
This class addresses one of the most important issues facing the housing industry and real estate market today. Mortgage fraud is one of the fastest growing white-collar crimes in the U.S. Industry professionals need to recognize it and avoid involvement to protect the consumers – your clients – from becoming victims to it. This course will: recognize and define all forms of mortgage fraud; demonstrate knowledge of sub-prime lending and the components that can lead to predatory lending; describe industry-insiders’ roles in mortgage fraud; explain the foreclosure process, its risk factors and foreclosure scams.
