An Accurate Portrayal of the Philadelphia-area Housing
Market
The most common complaint the Association has received from
members over the last number of months is how the real estate market
is being portrayed in the media. The Suburban West REALTORS
Association has made a priority to communicate with local newspapers
accurate information on the housing markets in Chester County,
Delaware County and the Main Line. By and large, there have been
fair assessments made in articles that have appeared in the Daily
Local and the Daily Times since the market has shifted. Just this
week, the Philadelphia
Inquirer and Philadelphia
Magazine both featured prominent articles on the state of
the area's housing market.

Safety Tip: Awareness and Precautions Should Always be a
Priority for REALTORS
Real Estate is a people business. Unfortunately, it is a sad
reality that there are inherent dangers for professionals who have
dealings with the general public outside of a controlled office
atmosphere (although potential dangers exist there as well).
Periodically, the Association is made aware of incidents of
potential risks that agents have faced in the field. To this end,
the Association continues stress the importance of safety in the
field and the office through weekly Safety Tips in our Weekly News
Service.
