Supra Conversion Underway
As you have seen in recent issues of the Weekly News Service,
all Suburban West REALTOR members in possession of the Supra
Electronic Keypad and Lockbox system will be required to
convert to a new Supra system in the next few weeks.
The Suburban West, Greater Philadelphia and Lancaster
Associations of REALTORS members have already converted to the new
Supra keypad and lockbox technology the week of February 11, 2008.
The Montgomery and Bucks associations are converting to the new
system this week (February 18) and the New Castle County Board of
REALTORS will convert the week of March 3.
Last week, Suburban West REALTORS Association offered two
conversion sites for members to convert their keypads and lockboxes
at the Holiday Inn in West Chester and at the Springfield Country
Club. Members who were unable to make it to either of those sites
last week can make an appointment by clicking
here to process their conversion at the Association office
in Malvern. Once you have logged in, click on the Events Calendar to

Professionalism Tip: An Educated Consumer Prevents Procuring
Cause Accidents
Take time to fully explain notices and agreements such as the
Consumer Notice and Relationship Agreements. Article 16 (standard of
practice 16013) requires that you ask a prospective client if they
are a party to any exclusive representation agreement. Simply asking
a question is often not enough. Be sure to explain what it is you
are asking them. The consumer does not have the expertise or
understanding of the business that you do. That is why they need you
- a professional. Begin that professional relationship with a
careful explanation of what you expect, what they can expect and the
benefits of exclusivity. Educate them and you will more likely get
loyalty in return.

Use Your Website to Your Advantage
REALTORS websites are often times the lifeline to their
prospective buyers and sellers. It gives the consumer some insight
as to how the REALTOR would assist them with their housing need, but
what exactly makes the REALTOR stand out from the crowd? Many agents
in the area offer "extras" on their site as well as their listings
and their firm's listings. Some of these extras can just be a small
box that contains the current mortgage rates or maybe a quick "How
to" list about how to select an agent. Agents have also began
requesting some minimal information from users who wish to view the
listings from their webpages. This is an excellent way to establish
contact with someone who is obviously considering selling or
purchasing a home within the area.
Various websites also offer FREE tools for REALTORS to
improve their site or add some interactive features for consumers to
use. To view an article on some additional ways to bring more
traffic to your website, please click

Safety Tip A
year-long series of brief recommendations to promote REALTOR safety
in the office and out in the field.
