Free Health Insurance Seminar on October 16
doctor patient With the open enrollment period for health insurance now in swing, the Suburban West REALTORS Association is pleased to host an informational insurance seminar on Monday, October 16. This program will feature representatives from USI Colburn who will discuss group health insurance options available through Independence Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Attendees will also be able to consult one-on- one with Colburn representatives and receive an update on the small business healthcare initiative in Congress.

Is Your Contact Information Correct with the Association
Over the past several weeks, the Association has received notice from offices regarding agent changes. As we prepare for our 2007 membership dues billing, we would like to ensure that our records are as updated as possible. HBA Sponsors New Homes Tour for REALTORS (October 23-28)
House Tour What could be better than a drive in the autumn when the colors are glorious and the air is crisp? Combine business with pleasure and sign up for the “self guided” New Homes Tour for REALTORS sponsored by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Chester & Delaware Counties (HBA). Mark the date—Monday through Saturday, October 23 to October 28, 2006 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. when you can visit 22 exciting new home communities on your own at your own pace.

REALTORS who visit five of the communities during this week have a chance to win a Grand Prize of $1,000 and a second prize of $500 There will also be a $100 raffle prize on Saturday at each site as well as a treasure hunt prize. Visitors who discover the designated “memory point” treasure in each home have another chance to win a prize. A game card is provided to each participant wherever they decide to begin the tour and adds a fun component to the event.

Annual Commercial Real Estate Show on October 26
The TriState Commercial Alliance, the Philadelphia- are commerical REALTOR organization, will be hosting its Annual Commercial Real Estat Show on October 26 at the Valley Forge Convention Center. This is the premier commercial real estate event in the area and would be beneficial to members involved in commercial real estate full-time, part-time or even considering the field. Reminders
Voting Now Open For 2007 Board of Directors Election--REALTOR members are now able to cast their votes for the election of Suburban West REALTORS Association’s 2006 Board of Directors. There are four REALTOR Director positions being contested. Ballots were mailed to each REALTOR member on Monday, October 1. Members have the option of mailing their ballot to the Association or by casting their vote online by clicking here. And remember all members can “virtually” meet the candidates by clicking here.

Learn How to Let Technology Help Facilitate Your Success....Not Hinder It--The Suburban West REALTORS Association is excited to have Terry Watson present at our Annual Membership Meeting on October 25 at the Springfield Country Club. Commercial/Investment Marketing Exchange Meeting on October 13--C/I Marketing Exchange will next convene at the Association’s office in Malvern from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, October 13. The topic for this month’s meeting is "Commercial Loans in Chester County" by Don Sills, Loan Manager for the Chester County Economic Development Council. In addition to the program the meeting will feature a tremendous opportunity to network with upwards of 30 other members interested in commercial/industrial/investment real estate and discuss any “haves” and “wants” of your clients.

Interested in Serving on the 2007 Grievance and Professional Standards Committee?--The Suburban West REALTORS Association has a limited number of openings for the 2007 Grievance and Professional Standards Committee. Committee members are responsible for maintaining the standards of the profession through enforcement of the Code of Ethics.
