Cast Your Ballot Today For the 2007 Board of Directors
The polls are now open. All REALTOR members are encouraged to
do their part in determining the 2007 Board of Directors by casting
their vote today. There are four REALTOR Director positions being
contested.Ballots were mailed to each REALTOR member on Monday,
October 1. REALTOR members have three options to vote:

membership via email later in the afternoon on October 25.

The Suburban West REALTORS Association is excited to have

Interested in Serving on the 2007 Grievance and Professional
Standards Committee?
The Suburban West REALTORS Association has a limited number
of openings for the 2007 Grievance and Professional Standards
Committee. Committee members are responsible for maintaining the
standards of the profession through enforcement of the Code of
Ethics. This includes the obligation to arbitrate commission
disputes.
Suburban West REALTORS Association receives numerous requests
for service on the Grievance and Professional Standards Committee.
Each year a detailed selection process is conducted in an effort to
put together a diverse committee.

Commercial/Investment Marketing Exchange Meeting on October
13
C/I Marketing Exchange will next convene at the Association’s
office in Malvern from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, October 13.
The topic for this month’s meeting is "Commercial Loans in Chester
County" by Don Sills, Loan Manager for the Chester County Economic
Development Council. In addition to the program the meeting will
feature a tremendous opportunity to network with upwards of 30 other
members interested in commercial/industrial/investment real estate
and discuss any “haves” and “wants” of your clients.

Memorial Notices
The Association is saddened to report the passing of former
REALTOR member Ron Noyes on October 3 at his home in Florida after a
lengthy battle with cancer. Ron was a former President of the
Delaware County Board of REALTORS and also served as Presdient for
NAR's REALTORS National Marketing Incident. He is survived by his
wife Missy, who is also a REALTOR. Services will be Saturday,
October 14, 10:00 a.m. at the Swarthmore United Methodist Church,
129 Park Avenue, Swarthmore. In lieu of flowers, donations can be
made to Nichols College, c/o Ronald Noyes Fund, P.O. Box 5000,
Dudley, MA 01571.
The Association is also saddened to report the passing of
Patricia Campana on October 3. Patricia was a long-time member of
the Association and a principal-owner of Bottom Line Solutions in
West Chester. A viewing will be held on Monday, October 9, 10:00
a.m. at St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane in Havertown. Mass and
burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made in Patricia's memory to The Children's Hospital of
Philadelphia Foundation, 34th Street and Civic Center Blvd.,
Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Health Insurance Seminar on October 16-- Are you not
insured or considering changing your current coverage? USI Colburn
will be conducting a seminar at the Association’s office regarding
Independence Blue Cross/Blue Shield coverage options that are
available to REALTORS of the Suburban West REALTORS Association.
October is open enrollment for subscribers and this meeting will be
a tremendous opportunity to discuss one-on-one with USI Colburn
representatives what plan may be best for you and your family. There
will also be a brief update on the Small Business Health Care bill

Make The Investment Into Becoming A More Successful
Salesperson--As the market stabilizes, and competition
intensifies, relationship building skills become more important than
ever. The Suburban West REALTORS Association is pleased to host the
first of its series of Dale Carnegie classes on October 20. The
full-day course, How to Build Relationships and Sales Through
Networking, has been developed and will be taught by the company who
invented networking, Dale Carnegie.
In this class, you will learn to create a total networking
plan that includes identifying the important people you want to
meet, selecting networking organizations, choosing between events to
attend and events to avoid, creating a 25 second elevator speech,
networking on the phone and getting referrals and introductions –
your most powerful tools. This one day seminar is from 9:00 a.m. -
