Dale Carnegie Sales Programs Coming To Suburban West
In an increasingly competitive industry, how can you

Beginning in October 2006, a series of Dale Carnegie seminars
will be offered in our classroom in Malvern, PA, including:
Each one day seminar runs 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and costs
$199.00, which includes lunch. Individuals who register for all
eight seminars before October 20, 2006 will receive one seminar
FREE. And any student who registers for a class will receive a $200
discount on a select list of off-site Dale Carnegie Training series
classes per each each class they register for. To register, please

Voter Registration Information
REALTORS can make a difference by voting, especially with
many tight elections this fall. October 10th is the last day to
register to vote in the November 7th Pennsylvania general election.
Individuals may register at a county voter registration office or at
other designated sites. For information, call 1-877-868-3772 or go
to www.votespa.com.

Learn to Effectively Communicate Housing Market
Conditions
Pricing and evaluating residential property has a significant
effect on many aspects of the real estate transaction. As the market
normalizes it becomes even more important to clearly understand and
communicate existing conditions in the housing market, and prepare
for the role that property pricing plays in closing the transaction.
GRI 501, Pricing and Evaluating Residential Property will
prepare licensees to recognize and translate these conditions to
their clients. The course is an approved elective for the GRI
designation, provides 7 hours of continuing education credit for
Appraiser license renewal for 2005-2007. Students seeking continuing
education credit for their Real Estate License for the 2006-2008
periods should ask at registration if these credits have been
obtained. Class will be held at the Association of REALTORS School
in Malvern. Tuition is $135 which includes all course materials and

Penn-Delco Adopts Budget
The Penn-Delco School Board adopted a $44.7 million operating
budget. The mill rate was set at 20.145; an increase of .745 mills
over last year. The average residential taxpayer with a house
assessed at $111,243 will pay $2,241 in taxes and the increase from
last year will be $83.91 (Source: Hometown Press;

Ensure the Assistance You are Receiving is
Professional
The Real Estate Professional Assistant (REPA) course on July
25 & 26 is perfect for all real estate support personnel;
personal assistants, office administrators, conveyancers and anyone
who provides assistance to real estate professionals and their
firms. The 2- day course provides a step by step guide to the day to
day business of real estate. Agency representations and disclosures,
multiple listing services, forms, transaction management and
marketing are just a few of the things students will learn in this
course. Whether you have someone you would like to train as an
assistant or you are considering training to be one yourself, you
will want to take advantage of this opportunity.
Tuition is $249 which includes all course materials and lunch
both days. The course has been approved for 7 hours of continuing

Memorial Notice
The Association is saddened to report the passing of Michael
Traband, son-in-law to Lena Melaragni, manager of Prudential Fox
& Roach-Longwood Office. His sudden passing has left behind his
wife, Lena's daughter, Geanine Traband, his step- daughter Ashley,
11, and his 4-month old daughter Mikayla.
Unfortunately, due to Michael's health condition, he was
unable to secure life insurance for his family. In lieu of flowers,
the family is request assistance with the financial burden that has
been created and gratefully requests donations of any amount to the
Mikayla Traband Fund, Commerce Bank, 969 Baltimore Pike,
Springfield, PA 19064. The family would like to thank those of you
who will help in advance and that your generosity is greatly
appreciated during this difficult time.

Association Announces Affilates First Campaign-- The
Association is pleased to announce the launch of the Affiliates
First Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to inform our REALTORS
about the value of Affiliate members and why REALTORS should take
into consideration whether a service provider is an Affiliate when
using or referring the individual and/or company.The 250 Affiliate
Members of the Suburban West REALTORS Association represent diverse
industries like mortgage/finance, home inspection, title/abstracts,
and pest control. While they join to receive value-added products
and services, they also generously give back to the organization.
Through their commitment to excellence, they demonstrate a
dedication to the real estate industry. Their membership dues,
sponsorships, advertising and contributions have been instrumental
to allowing the organization to enhance its services without having
to increase local dues. And, lastly, they serve as a comprehensive
resource to members through articles in the REALTOR News and will be
featured prominently in the soon-to-be revised Affiliate section of
the website.

TREND Map Book? The Suburban West REALTORS Association has the
latest Map Books available for $25.00 Replacing the 2002 edition,
the new book features updated roads and landmarks, a new
user-friendly size, and an interactive CD-ROM Street Guide. Most
importantly, coordinates in Pennsylvania are automatically populated
for most new listings making the field much more reliable to search
for in the MLS and to find properties using map grid coordinates. To
