Association Announces Affiliates First Campaign
As initially announced by Chairman Bud Tyson in the
July-August issue of the REALTOR News magazine, the Association is
pleased to launch the Affiliates First Campaign. The goal of the
campaign is to inform our REALTORS about the value of Affiliate
members and why REALTORS should take into consideration whether a
service provider is an Affiliate when using or referring the
individual and/or company.
The 250 Affiliate Members of the Suburban West REALTORS
Association represent diverse industries like mortgage/finance, home
inspection, title/abstracts, and pest control. While they join to
receive value-added products and services, they also generously give
back to the organization. Through their commitment to excellence,
they demonstrate a dedication to the real estate industry. Their
membership dues, sponsorships, advertising and contributions have
been instrumental to allowing the organization to enhance its
services without having to increase local dues. And, lastly, they
serve as a comprehensive resource to members through articles in the
REALTOR News and will be featured prominently in the soon-to-be
revised Affiliate section of the website.

Delco Makes Noise
The Delaware County Council is ripping the Federal Aviation
Administration's draft environmental impact statement for proposed
flight plan changes in the region, claiming noise decibel levels in
some portions of the county will skyrocket in the range of 600
percent to 925 percent. Hardest hit by the increased airport traffic
noise would be Ridley Park, parts of Prospect Park, two thirds of
Ridley Township and portions of Swarthmore and Nether Providence,
the county contends. According to an analysis by the Delaware County
Planning Department, "of the more than half million residents of
Delaware County, approximately 84 percent will experience a negative
noise impacts of up to 925 percent. (Source: Daily Times;
