Governor Signs Proclamation for REALTORS Reach Out

Governor Ed Rendell has issued a proclamation commending Pennsylvania RROREALTORS on their efforts to raise money, donate food and clothing, build homes, and grant scholarships for needy students all across the state.

The month of October is the designated month for REALTORS Reach Out, which is a statewide program where REALTORS get involved in their commuities to try and benefit the less fortunate.  Suburban West has an ongoing effort with its Partnership in Education Program, which grants scholarships to needy and deserving students in Chester and Delaware counties and on the Main Line.  A Golf Tournament was held on July 27, 2009 to raise funds for the scholarship program, which totalled $18,513.72 in scholarships for local students.

REALTORS who wish to volunteer or participate in REALTORS Reach Out can do so by volunteering at their local soup kitchen, donating items to the Salvation Army, or participating in the HBA's Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build.  Even the smallest contributions can matter the most.

Association Liaison Promotes Professionalism at Sales Meeting

Lee Hanger recently presented the Professionalism DVD to a combined sales meeting for the Aston and Media offices of Century 21 Alliance.  Lee asked his broker for time during their recent sales meeting to present the program to all sales associates in attendance. The broker provided the equipment for projection of the DVD and Lee provided the introduction and led the discussion that followed. Association staff was subsequently contacted by the broker who wished to share the positive experience of the meeting.  Broker Ray Moise praised Lee's presentation and expressed great pleasure at the reception of both new and seasoned agents to the program. Many in attendance appreciated the reminder of the common professional courtesies presented.

The Association would like to thank Lee for advancing the Professionalism campaign to his fellow REALTORS. Certificates and pins will be sent to each agent who participated. We encourage all Liaison's to follow Lee's example and bring your firm closer to 100% participation in the Suburban West Professionalism Program.
