Discussion
Question
Each month, the
Suburban West REALTORS Association will provide Association Liaisons with
a question in which we are seeking member feedback on. We
urge you to discuss this question with agents at your office during a
sales meeting, through an email, or during the course of your daily
conversations when appropriate.
For the
next Association Liaison meeting scheduled for June 16, I will be
inviting our Director of Professional Standards, Paula Tansey,
to facilitate a group discussion about the Association's
Resolution Management Services. In preparation for the meeting,
Association Liaisons are asked to bring comments or questions from
their respective offices about due process hearings and/or Mediations.

Recognizing Mortgage Fraud
Mortgage Fraud has been a problem for as long as properties
have been financed. In recent years, it has become an issue for
real estate agents who may be involved in a transaction that involved
mortgage fraud. It is imperative brokers have a policy to address
the issue internally, since they are held responsible if their agents are
involved in a fraudulent transaction.
To protect brokers and their agents, NAR has developed a
brochure to help explain to members on how to identify the signs of
mortgage fraud. The FREE document is available as a flyer or
brochure.
