Discussion Question

Each month, the Suburban West REALTORS Association will provide Association Liaisons with a question in which we are seeking member feedback on.   We urge you to discuss this question with agents at your office during a sales meeting, through an email, or during the course of your daily conversations when appropriate.

This MONTH's Question:

One way to raise the level of Professionalism in the real estate industry is to expect adherence to the Code of Ethics.  The Association's Professional Standards program allows for a due process hearing that serves to resolve disputes between REALTORS or members of the public and other REALTORS.  What are some reasons why REALTORS will not make complaints against other REALTORS?

Please provide your response to Mary Lim at mlim@suburbanwestrealtors.com.

Foreclosure

Foreclosures/Short Sales Field Guides

The National Association of REALTORS (NAR) has already done a significant amount of research for REALTORS on these two hot-topics.  Take advantage of their work through their online Field Guides!  Field Guides are one-stop resource packages on dozens of REALTORS topics.  On each page, you'll find links to articles, websites, statistics, and other materials on a vast amount of subjects.

To view the Foreclosures Field Guide, click here.  (It will provide links and tips for the potential investor as well as suggestions for those trying to prevent Foreclosures.)

To view the Short Sales Field Guide, click here.  (This offers information about the basics of Short Sales and advice for the real estate professional.)
