Directional Signs UPDATE
The PA Real Estate
Commission held their monthly meeting in Philadelphia
on July 17-19, 2007. At this meeting, they
discussed and concluded the following concerning directional
signs:
- A directional sign (or any advertising)
that does not include the name of an individual salesperson
(or team) does not require further indentifying
information. Therefore, if the sign is simply an arrow
with the words "House for Sale" or "Open House" with or
without the firm/company name, there is no need for
additional information.
- Once an individual salesperson is named
then the firm/company name must be included and must also
include the main telephone number of the firm/company and
must adhere to all regulatory rules for advertisement under
Section
35.305(c). NOTE: If the sign contains a team name, then
all team members'names must appear as specified in the
Team
Advertising Guidelines adopted by the Real Estate Commission in
January 2006.
